Justyna Biala is a Chicago-based jazz vocalist, songwriter, and bandleader whose work blends deep jazz roots with soul, blues, and groove-driven influences. Born in Przemyśl, Poland, she was immersed in music from an early age and has since developed a distinctive artistic voice shaped by both, her European heritage and Chicago’s rich jazz tradition.

Since relocating to Chicago in 2006, Justyna has honed her craft through formal jazz studies and collaborations with some of the city’s respected musicians. These experiences have formed her nuanced phrasing, expressive storytelling, and stylistic versatility, placing jazz at the core of her musical identity.

Leading her ensemble, Justyna & The Company, she presents a dynamic repertoire of original compositions and creatively arranged standards. Her songwriting draws from personal narratives and broader human themes, delivered through sophisticated arrangements that seamlessly weave jazz with elements of soul, blues, funk, and reggae—always anchored in a jazz sensibility and improvisational spirit.
